The icon of St. Mary, where she has the newborn Christ positioned in the middle and in front of her, can be metaphorically perceived as if the figure of Christ is in her womb. In this composition, the figure of Christ is released in the direction of heaven, but is connected to the mother by a mystical spiral, which indicates the purity of conception.
